Are gutter guards worth it?
Sometimes. It depends on the trees over the house and the type of guard.
Some guards reduce cleaning. None eliminate it. Cheap ones make a clog harder to clear, because now it is under a cover.
Get the gutter itself right first: the pitch, the hangers and enough downspouts. A guard on a badly pitched gutter still overflows.
