Are roof repairs worth it?

Most of the time, yes. A roof that leaks usually has one weak point, not a worn-out surface.

A repair earns its cost when the roof is sound and one specific part failed: a vent boot, a run of flashing, a valley. Put that right and the roof can keep working for years.

It stops paying off when you are on your third or fourth patch within two years, when the shingles have shed their granules and curl at the edges, or when the deck feels spongy underfoot. From there each repair just postpones a replacement you will still have to buy.

When it is a close call, you get both prices in writing with the photos, and you pick.

A simple test: ask what the repair fixes and what it leaves behind. One failed detail fixed on a sound roof is money well spent. One patch among many weak spots is not.

Book a repair visit and ask for an honest view of how much life the roof has left.
