How do I choose between roofing companies?

Line the roofing companies up on the same three things: photos of what failed, a written scope and price, and proof of insurance. Whoever will not give all three has answered the question for you.

Compare scopes, not totals. One roofing contractor’s price may include new flashing, a per-sheet rate for rotten decking and cleanup; another’s may be a patch. The cheaper number is often the smaller job.

Ask whether they would repair or replace, and why. If a repair would do, a straight roofer says so and prices it next to the replacement.

That is how we quote wherever we work, from roof repair in Waldorf, MD to a flat roof in Washington, DC: photos first, the price in writing, bonded and insured.

Get our written scope and put it next to the others. Repair and replacement estimates are free.
