What to do if you can't afford a new roof?

Start by finding out if you truly need one. Most leaking roofs need a repair, and the leak usually traces back to one spot. Fixing it can buy years.

Ask for prices on both, the repair and the replacement, next to each other and in writing. Then you can weigh what a repair buys you against what waiting costs.

Split the work into now and later. An inspection report with photographs separates the problems that cannot wait from the ones you can plan and save for.

Check two more doors. If a storm caused the damage, it may be an insurance claim rather than your bill alone. And ask about roof replacement financing, which may be available for qualifying projects.

Fix the urgent part now and replace later. A dry roof for the next few years beats a new roof you cannot pay for.

Book a free estimate and ask for the repair and replacement prices together, so you can see every option at once.
