Roof Repair and Roof Replacement in Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia

Two jobs, and the roof decides which one you need. A leak in one spot is a repair. Leaks in several places, soft decking and a roof past its age are a replacement. We tell you which, with photographs, before anyone talks about a price.

How we look at this work

How Much Has Failed

Repair or replace is decided by how much of the roof has failed, not by how bad one leak looks. One failed flashing on a sound roof is a repair, however much water came through. A roof failing in several places at once, or patched for the third time, is a replacement, even if today it only drips. We count what has failed and show you.

Repair It, or Replace It?

Water is coming in at one spot

Roof Repair

Most roofs that leak do not need replacing. They need the thing that failed found and fixed, and the most common failure is not the field of the roof at all. It is a penetration, a valley or a piece of flashing.

Questions About Roof Repair & Replacement

How do you decide between a repair and a replacement?

⌄
By how much of the roof has failed. If the water is coming in at one detail and the rest of the roof is sound, that is a repair. If it is failing in several places, the decking is soft, or it has been patched more than once, a repair is money spent on a roof that is nearly done. When it is close, you get both prices in writing, side by side, with the photographs.

How quickly can you come out?

⌄
Roof leaks are scheduled within 48 hours. Replacement estimates are by appointment. We are open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM every day. Outside those hours, send the form marked as an emergency or leave a voicemail, and we respond during business hours.

Is the estimate free?

⌄
Yes. The estimate is free and the price is in writing before any work starts. Where a repair is the honest answer, we say so. Nobody is sold a new roof on a roof that has years left.
